Harrogate Spring Flower Show

Stunning Spring Colour and the largest Daffodil show in the North are promised
at this annual event. There are also numerous exhibits & gardens by
Britain’s leading Nurserymen. There are usually lots of bargains to

Spalding Flower Parade and Springfield’s Gardens
Country Fair

The 44th festival at Springfield’s with 30 acres of landscaped gardens,
country fair and float displays which start here for there journey through
the town on the 4.5 mile route. There promises to be entertainment, craft
stalls, demonstrations, marching bands and much more. (Cost includes coach

Shrewsbury Flower Show
Friday 16th August 2002
This Show is recognised and admired as Britain’s best two-day summer
show and as one of the finest outdoor events of its kind in the world. We
visit the show on the first day when more than three million blooms fill
the show’s three marquees. There are top class military bands, Male
Voice Choirs and the town itself is only a short walk away with a wealth
of historic black & white buildings alongside modern shopping developments.

Lincolnshire Gardens and Cream Tea
Thursday 4th July
A popular summers day out with a visit to the Baytree World of Gardening
Centre at Weston, near Spalding. An award winning and unique 32-acre complex
that offers everything for the keen gardener presented with style and flair.
During the afternoon we take a scenic drive across the heart of Lincolnshire
before arriving at The Admiral Rodney Hotel, Horncastle; for a sumptuous
cream tea comprising of sandwiches, scones etc.. Our return journey allows
us to enjoy the splendour of the wolds. (Cost icludes coach fare and cream

A morning visit to the Butterfly and Wildlife Park at long Sutton, stroll
around the tropical house and admire the hundreds of coloured butterflies.

tearooms, or bring a pinic for the park. Then join us in the afternoon for
a visit to St Mary Magdalene Church, Gedney for the annual Flower Festival.
